Free — Really Free
The floor plan maker is free forever with no design cap, no export cap, and no watermark. Draw one plan or a hundred plans at no cost. Only the optional AI 3D conversion has a monthly quota (3/month on the free tier).
Ritn3D's floor plan maker is a simple, no-jargon tool that runs in your browser at app.ritn3d.com/app/dashboard. Draw walls with a click, drop in doors and windows from the toolbar, and download a clean PNG or PDF in minutes. No CAD training required, one-tap Google sign-in, no watermark on the export. Made for anyone who needs a floor plan quickly - renovation planning, listing images, contractor briefs, insurance records, rental listings, moving-day layout, IKEA-day layout, room-swap planning. The drawing tool is unlimited and free forever; a one-click AI 3D conversion is available if you want to see your plan as a 3D model, three free conversions per month.
Draw, add openings, download — no CAD skills needed
Go to app.ritn3d.com/app/dashboard in any browser on desktop, laptop, tablet or phone. Sign in with Google or email in seconds.
Click to place walls and drag to shape them. Chain walls into rooms — the editor snaps to right angles and auto-labels rooms as you close them. Add doors and windows from the toolbar.
Click export to download your plan as a high-resolution PNG or PDF. No watermark, no attribution, unlimited exports on any plan including free.
If you want a 3D model of your plan, click convert to 3D. The AI builds an interactive 3D model in about two minutes. Three free 3D conversions per month; the drawing itself stays free and unlimited.
Free, browser-based, unlimited
The floor plan maker is free forever with no design cap, no export cap, and no watermark. Draw one plan or a hundred plans at no cost. Only the optional AI 3D conversion has a monthly quota (3/month on the free tier).
Sign in with Google or email in about 10 seconds — no phone number, no email verification, no credit card. Signing in gives you unlimited free drawing, unwatermarked PNG and PDF exports, and cross-device sync.
Runs in any modern browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge — on any device. Also available as a native iOS and Android app for offline drawing on-site. Both surfaces share the same account and sync automatically.
Every change auto-saves as a draft on your device. Resume where you left off when you re-open the editor. Cross-device sync requires Pro (90-day cloud sync); the free tier keeps drafts on the device you drew them on.
When your plan is done, one click converts it into an interactive 3D model with our AI — orbit the model, share a browser link, or (on Pro+) download the geometry as GLB or STL. The drawing tool works fine without ever using the 3D feature; it's there if you want it.
The maker recognises enclosed rooms as you draw and drops in a room label (Living Room, Bedroom 1, Bathroom). You can rename any room, change the type, or override the detection. Rooms are what the 3D converter and the PNG export both use to organise the plan.

Yes. The floor plan maker is free forever - unlimited plans, unlimited PNG and PDF exports, no watermark, no forced upgrade. The only paid tiers are for optional AI 3D conversion at higher volumes (Pro $9.99/month for 20 conversions plus walkthrough and furniture; Pro+ $19.99/month for 40 conversions plus GLB/STL downloads). If you only ever need 2D floor plans and PNG/PDF exports, you never pay us anything.
Yes — sign in with Google or email to open the maker at app.ritn3d.com/app/dashboard. It takes about 10 seconds, no card, no phone number, no email verification wall. Signing in gives you unlimited free drawing, unwatermarked PNG/PDF export, and cross-device sync automatically.
PNG and PDF at up to 4K resolution - no watermark on any tier. Suitable for listings, contractor briefs, insurance claims, renovation records, or as a tracing base for a more detailed drawing. Vector (SVG) and STL exports are on the roadmap (STL planned Q4 2026). 3D files (GLB, STL) require running the AI 3D conversion and are a Pro+ feature.
The main differences are the watermark and the export cost. Planner 5D's free tier is unlimited projects but every render is watermarked and low-res, and only about half of the catalog is available on free; Ritn3D's exports are clean and every drawing feature is unlocked. RoomSketcher's free tier is a 10-project archive with watermarked 3D snapshots and charges $38 per level to export floor plans; Ritn3D exports as many PNGs and PDFs as you want without branding or per-export fees. Ritn3D also runs in the browser (no install) and on iOS/Android natively - same account, same plans, same drawing everywhere.
The native iOS and Android apps handle offline drawing — sketch at a property with no signal, sync when you're back online. The browser-based maker needs an initial internet connection to load. Once loaded, it survives brief connection drops, but for guaranteed offline use the native apps are the safer choice.
Yes. Anything you draw is yours. Use it in real estate listings, contractor bids, renovation contracts, rental brochures, insurance filings — Ritn3D doesn't take a licence in your work and doesn't require attribution. Commercial use is included on the free tier.
No — that's the whole point. The maker uses click-and-drag drawing, not the line/arc/dimension tools of a proper CAD program. If you can read a floor plan well enough to know what's a wall and what's a door, you can produce a clean plan in a few minutes. Users on the tool include realtors, homeowners, contractors, students, interior designers, and small landlords, most of whom have never touched AutoCAD or SketchUp.
Open the maker in your browser and start drawing. One-tap Google sign-in, no watermark, unlimited exports.
